Labor Protection Exhibition | Lightweight Design Optimizes Reflective Protective Equipment

In high-temperature summer environments, heavy and stifling reflective vests have created resistance among many outdoor workers. For a long time, the industry has relied on rigid regulations to enforce protective wear, yielding limited results through this passive protection model. In 2026, the Labor Protection Exhibition recognizes that the labor protection industry is undergoing a conceptual transformation, gradually shifting from "being told to wear" to "wanting to wear," with people-oriented design becoming the core direction of product development.

On the policy front, China issued 46 mandatory national standards for personal protective equipment in 2025, covering eight major protection domains. Multiple new regulations will take effect on July 1, 2026, pushing protective products from basic provision toward scientifically standardized usage.

Multiple surveys confirm that wearing comfort directly affects worker compliance. Nearly half of practitioners indicate they would be more willing to wear reflective gear voluntarily if the wearing experience were improved. The industry is gradually realizing that compliance is merely the baseline; optimizing product design and enhancing user experience are the keys to solving the wearing dilemma.

Today, reflective protective clothing is no longer merely a safety tool but a comprehensive solution that balances safety, comfort, and work efficiency. People-oriented design is primarily manifested in three dimensions: lightweight materials significantly reduce burden, with new products in the same size weighing approximately 250 grams less than traditional styles; ergonomic three-dimensional tailoring paired with breathable structures ensures unrestricted limb movement; professional moisture-wicking fabrics evaporate water two to three times faster than pure cotton, keeping workers dry even during extended operations.

Hot weather poses the greatest challenge for outdoor labor protection apparel. Stifling heat and stickiness not only affect the wearing experience but also increase the risk of heatstroke. To address this, breathable mesh fabrics and quick-dry materials have become mainstream for summer reflective vests. Mesh fabric spliced into the underarms and back accelerates air circulation, with measured results showing a reduction in perceived temperature by 2–3°C, rapidly wicking away sweat.

Under Zhejiang Shunfa Security Technology, the Anboshi brand utilizes honeycomb mesh, fishtail mesh, and other breathable fabrics across multiple products. Some sun-protective garments achieve a UPF rating of 100+, paired with high-visibility reflective strips to deliver both breathable comfort and safety protection.

Quick-dry fabrics effectively solve the problem of cotton garments absorbing sweat but drying slowly, returning to a dry state within 10–20 minutes after leaving the source of perspiration. These fabrics are controlled to a weight of 130–160 g/m², remaining lightweight without becoming see-through. They reduce discomfort caused by sweat and lower the probability of skin issues.

The development of the labor protection industry is evolving from simply ensuring safety compliance to demonstrating humanistic care for workers. The widespread adoption of lightweight materials, ergonomic design, and functional technical fabrics is enabling protective equipment to be genuinely embraced on a voluntary basis. As a brand with thirty years of deep expertise in reflective protective equipment, Anboshi has participated in drafting multiple industry standards. Its products strictly adhere to domestic and international regulations and are widely applied across outdoor work scenarios including transportation, construction, sanitation, and logistics, continuously contributing to safe production through high-quality products.
