CIOSH 2025 Concludes with Success, Driving Innovation for the Future of Occupational Safety and Health Industry

On April 17, 2025, the 108th China International Occupational Safety & Health Goods Expo (CIOSH 2025),organized by the China Textile Commerce Association (CTCA) and Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (MDS), concluded successfully at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Under the theme “The Power of Protection”, this year’s event attracted 1,446 exhibitors from 18 countries and regions, occupying nearly 80,000 square meters of exhibition space across halls E1 to E7, and welcomed 42,893 professional visitors. Through cutting-edge product and technology displays, in-depth industry dialogues, and immersive interactive experiences, the 108th CIOSH showcased the innovative vitality and growth potential of China's occupational safety and health industry, solidifying the industry position of CIOSH as the leading trade and exchange platform for occupational safety and health in Asia.

Ms. Evian Gu, General Manager of Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., remarked: “This year, I was delighted to see exhibitors not only present breakthrough products such as intelligent safety equipment and biodegradable protective materials but also demonstrate solutions integrating industrial internet with the safety industry. These advancements mark China’s transition from ‘manufacturing’ to ‘smart manufacturing’. The value of CIOSH now extends beyond transactions—it has become a hub fostering technological transformation and collaborative standard-setting, further driving industry upgrades and creating smarter, more sustainable safety solutions for workers worldwide.”

Rising International Participation, Emerging Market Opportunities

CIOSH 2025 hosted its first offline international business matchmaking session, where professional buyers from 11 countries across five continents—including Pakistan, Nepal, Bulgaria, Mexico, Uzbekistan, Peru, Zimbabwe, and Egypt—forged in-depth cooperation intentions with Chinese exhibitors, highlighting the global competitiveness of China’s personal protective equipment.

“In Africa, comfortable working conditions are in high demand, and China's safety products—with their competitive prices and superior quality—have a strong market presence,” said Mr. Dubuya, Sourcing Manager of CHUKUA from Zimbabwe. “Our company works closely with Zimbabwe's government fire departments, and we came to CIOSH to procure protective gear for firefighters, including suits and helmets. The exhibition impressed me with its vast product range, exceeding my expectations. I'll consult with my colleagues back in Africa and return tomorrow with more precise requirements.”

Mr. Quijada, Marketing Manager of EPA and a first-time CIOSH attendee, shared: “I've seen countless innovative products at the exhibition, such as head, eye, and face protection equipment and various protective wears. They are crucial for workers in Latin and North America. This was my first time at CIOSH, and I’ve already connected with several companies during the matchmaking session. I plan to return next year.”

Mr. Shen, Manager of TIANLI Plastic, participated in the matchmaking session: “This year, the surge in international visitors at CIOSH is a positive sign for export-oriented businesses like ours, reflecting the exhibition’s growing global appeal. We’ve secured a preliminary deal with a Pakistani buyer procuring protective gear for Australian wall painters—our products are a perfect fit. CIOSH never fails to deliver high-quality clients, making it a must-attend event every year.”

Immersive Experiences Spark Interactive Engagement

10 concurrent Industry Technical Seminars sparked profound discussions, addressing industry challenges and empowering upgrades through insightful content. These seminars provided detailed insights into the latest updates and implications of occupational safety and health standards, encompassing precise technical metrics and stringent production norms.

During the three-day fall protection demonstrations, experts recreated high-altitude work environments, offering comprehensive guidance on the operation, maintenance, and safety protocols of equipment such as electric lifts and full-body harnesses. Real-life confined space rescue scenarios were also presented, along with emergency response procedures. Knot-tying workshops and competitions drew large crowds, blending education with entertainment to integrate safety skills into daily life.

The Exoskeleton Technology Park (EXO Park), themed “Human-Machine Collaboration, Efficiency Revolution”, became a major attraction. Leading Chinese exoskeleton companies—ULSrobotics, RoboCT Technology, and Kenqing Technology—jointly showcased their cutting-edge products, spanning upper-body support, lower-body assistance, and full-body collaboration systems. With breakthroughs in human-machine interaction algorithms and lightweight materials, exoskeleton technology is rapidly expanding from medical rehabilitation to industrial applications, offering innovative solutions to safeguard workers' health and safety.

Next Stop: Expanding into the Global Safety Protection Market
