China International Occupational
Safety & Health Goods Expo

15-17 APRIL 2025 丨 SHANGHAI, CHINA

CIOSH goes to Thailand for the first time—new show in Bangkok in June 2024!

China Textile Commerce Association (CTCA) works with Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (MDS) and Messe Düsseldorf Asia Pte Ltd. (MDA) to present the new platform for personal protective equipment (PPE) in Bangkok: Thailand International Exhibition for Personal Protective Equipment (CIOSH Thailand) will take place for the first time in the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) from 05 - 07 June 2024, after which it will be held annually.

China International Occupational Safety & Health Goods Expo (CIOSH) launched by CTCA was founded in 1966 and established a strategic partnership with MDS in 2020. After 57 years of development, CIOSH has evolved into China's largest professional occupational safety and health exhibition. The last edition of CIOSH, held in April 2023, reached a new record with a total exhibition area of 80,000 sqm, with 1,522 exhibitors from 14 countries and regions showcased their advanced protective equipment and technologies to 47,616 trade visitors.

CIOSH casts its eyes on overseas markets when having a steady development in China. Thailand, which is an important country in “the Belt and Road” and “The 21st Century Maritime Silk Road”, will be the first stop for the overseas development strategy of CIOSH. The Southeast Asian PPE market size is forecasted to reach USD 8.12 billion by 2030. Located in the heart of Southeast Asia, Thailand is also the second largest economy of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and one of the countries with the highest demand for PPE. In this context, CIOSH Thailand is now being the best choice for Chinese PPE enterprises to enter the Southeast Asian market and comprehensively lay out their product supply chains.

Mr. Lei Limin, Chairman of the China Textile Commerce Association, is looking forward to the cooperation: "As the Asia’s leading trade show for occupational safety and health, CIOSH has presented an international, professional and market-oriented power in terms of exhibition scale, professional level, number of visitors and exhibition services. Benefiting from the 'Belt and Road' national cooperation strategy, CIOSH will actively 'go global', leading Chinese manufacturing towards the world. The deeper cooperation between CTCA and Messe Düsseldorf will open up a new chapter for the development of CIOSH! "

"Thailand's large labor force and burgeoning manufacturing industry are driving a rapid increase in the market demand for PPE. Now is the right time for us to launch CIOSH Thailand,” Mr. Marius Berlemann, General Manager of Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., eagerly awaits CIOSH Thailand: "With the successful experience of CIOSH over the years and the professional expertise of Messe Düsseldorf in the field of occupational safety and health, we believe that CIOSH Thailand will become an important platform for trade and exchange for the protective equipment producers and users in Thailand and Southeast Asia."

Mr. Gernot Ringling, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf Asia, expresses utmost confidence in the partnership, emphasising the significance of Southeast Asia as one of the most vibrant and diverse regions in the global economy. “The timing could not be more opportune as the region is expected to experience high demand for PPE over the next few years owing to rising construction and infrastructure projects, as well as heightened safety regulations and growing requirements for protective gear in most of the core industries.”

“Our existing connections and network in the PPE and related industries in Southeast Asia and deep understanding of the market, having organized the Occupational Safety + Health Exhibition for Asia (OS+H Asia) in Singapore for 25 years, puts us in a strong position to support CIOSH in establishing a robust presence in Thailand. We are committed to leveraging our expertise and experience to ensure a successful venture for CIOSH and contribute to the continued growth and development of the PPE industry in the region,” he added.
